I have been making up music and recording it since 1999.  In that time, I have produced an array of work ranging from psychedelic folk rock (under the pseudonym Birdfingers) to ambient soundscapes (as myself) and instrumental beat tapes (as BRDFNGRS).

I composed original music for the comedy short series Words with Ike (FX) and The Astronauts, as well as artist profile videos for Storm King Art Center's Oral History Series (all directed by Graham Mason).

As a session musician, I have also worked with many fellow Michigan artists including The Go Rounds, G'itis Baggs, Samantha Cooper, Mechele Peters , and Silphium Blooms.

In 2017, I earned a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Western Michigan University, where I studied piano with Jeremy Siskind.

I live with my wife and two kids in Kalamazoo, MI.  When I am not making music, teaching, or tuning pianos, I do dad stuff.
